Dan Spiegel

Dr. Daniel Spiegel is a Professor of Computer Science at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He has held teaching positions at the university level since 1985, and has taught a wide variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

He has experience with numerous programming languages and operating systems, beginning with Waterloo Fortran IV (WATFIV), using punch cards, and p-System Pascal on Apple II PCs, and presently teaches and uses C++, Java, and SPARC Assembler on Windows and Unix systems. He also teaches courses on file systems, web-based Java (including servlets), Javascript, and client-server applications.

He has been at Kutztown since Fall, 2002. Previously, he was a member of the faculty of Wright State University, outside of Dayton, Ohio, and was honored by his colleagues there with the 2002 Outstanding Lecturer award.

Dr. Spiegel has assisted family, friends, and neighbors with their computers for many years. He has decided to make his expertise available to the community at large to provide low cost, convenient service that was previously lacking.  He hopes to be able to provide his services to all manner of users, particularly those who depend upon their computer for e-mail and other basic services, and prefer the convenience of not having to remove and re-attach the myriad cables found on a contemporary machine.

Dr. Spiegel lives in Allentown, and is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, watching Cleveland sports teams with his son, going to the ocean during the summer, woodworking, riding his motorcycles, and home improvement.
